AC/DC:
1- Not sure, but I'm guessing fairly high mids and treble
2- Gibson SG, w/ humbuckers
3- Not much except OD/Distortion
4- Standard
Sabbath:
1- Not sure
2- Gibson SG, w/ humbuckers. Try looking into the Iommi Signature Pickups
3-Not much besides OD/Distortion. He may use some modulation, but I'm not sure
4- Standard will be fine, but I think Tony Iommi actually tuned to C Standard fairly regularly
Chili Peppers:
1- Not sure
2- Fender Strat w/ Single Coils
3- Fuzz and Wah would be essesntially... probably phase sometimes. John Frusciante has a pretty large pedal board, it really depends on what songs you want to play
4- Standard
Buckethead:
1- Not sure
2- He used many different types, from Gibson Les Paul's and V's to Ibanez V to maybe some type of Jackson. Most have humbuckers
3- Not sure really
4- Not sure

Korg Tuners says:
"In addition to his inspirational playing and riff-writing skills, Tony has also been at the forefront of several innovations in rock guitar technology: the double-octave, 24 fret neck; high-gain, low-noise humbucking pickups; ultra light-gauge strings; high-gain amplifiers and tuning the guitar down to C# (low to high: C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#) are all improvements/advancements that Iommi helped instigate. All are now considered “the norm,” especially de-tuning the guitar which, to many players, appears to be a relatively recent trend. “Tuning down to C# is certainly nothing new to me, I’ve been doing it for the best part of 30 years!” Tony laughs, “I started doing it for two reasons – it suited Ozzy’s vocal range and sounded heavy too.”
As one would expect, Tony employs his trademark, C# tuning on Iommi. To ensure the utmost accuracy for this lower-than-low tuning, Tony’s choice of tuner is the KORG DTR-1. “It really is an excellent piece of kit,” Mike Clement, Tony’s tech for the past ten years, enthuses. “It’s deadly accurate and its large, easy to read ‘note display’ is perfect for both live and recording work – especially as all of Tony’s tunings involve sharps and flats.”
More radical alternate tunings, and tuning down in particular, have probably garnered the most attention recently because of the metal players who have been using them to achieve ultra-heavy sounds. This isn’t just a phenomenon of the thrash-metal, black-metal, and death-metal movements, however. Players have been dropping their tunings way down for years to create a more menacing vibe. Tony Iommi conjured pure sonic darkness back in the ’60s by tuning his SG down three semitones to C# (C#F#BEG#C#), and it also turns up at the hands of later bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Slayer.

Iommi tuned down and used light strings because he felt it was easier to play. He also wore metal or plastic caps on his fingers, since some of his finger-tips were sliced in an industrial accident.
And for settings, go on Ultimate-Guitar Forums and search "Ultimate Settings Thread".
First Sabbath album was in Standard, then Eb (1/2-step down) for one or two albums, then D-standard for I think one album then he went to C# in the last album before Dio. Reason being I think it was due to his prosthetic finger tips, now I'm not 100% sure on when the changes happened but those are the three main tunings used over the Sabbath timeline.
Tone wise Tony used an these pedals:
OBoss OC-2 Octave
Ernie Ball 6166 Mono Volume Pedal
Pete Cornish Custom Foot Controller
Tychobrahe ParaPedal Wah
Distortion/OD wise was in his Signature Laney head's effects-loop and controlled via a foot switch.
Sure, but you still want to know how the greats got their signature sound. That doesn't neccisarilly mean you are going to [have to] use it. To me it's the same as theory, I'm sure I won't use all the progressions etc former musicians have used, but still you want to know them.
okay i'll try some of the links you posted, although they don't include all guitarists i need..
own settings hmm good idea, but i dont think droping some strings turning on my distortion will give me an AC\DC sound. anyways im really not gonna play sabbath or acdc or any of these, i just wanna try to get their sounds.

Nah, I personally don't agree with you. If you learn other people's sound, you'll have a very difficult time finding your own. I've observed many people and seen how they're constantly unhappy with their tone, because they starting by learning other's.
no u got me wrong. Its just that sometimes while im listening, it cracks me up curious to know how do they get that sound. so i start thinking.. but im really not interested in playing that music
