Ok, so who liked the album? **y opinions welcome.

I think it was a step up from their last couple of albums but I think they ran out of inspiration.

I liked it.

I think Day That Never Comes was one of the weaker songs in the album.

It grows on you, I agree with GRX40 that Day That Never Comes is one of the weaker songs, IMO.

Not a bad effort, I like this album a lot better than their last few ones. Not a bad listen.

I listened to the first song and then maybe 30 secs or so of the rest and havent listened to it since. I have to say I like the first song. It's better than what they've done since And Justice For All but still not up to par to old Metallica. I also would like it if they went back to their old sound. They keep trying to blend their sound to what's new and it just doesnt sound right.

It's not my style of music any more but I thought it was a very good effort and I think their fans will appreciate it more that the other crap albums the put out. It maybe just too little to late

death magnetic was a step forward in the right direction but it wasnt pushed. solos sound like they weren't changed from demos as far as technique and sound quality. it did everything metallica said it would do. they said it was like ...ajfa but like lars said... it wouldnt be like any of their older stuff

I didn't like it, if any new band made it, it would be dismissed as nothing. The singing was.... Something... Drums, what was expected.

Most most of all... I just hated the guitar tone, I have real problems listening to that type of tone.

Im sure he sang more than three notes but I agree with you; he's pushing it too much.

Totally agree with that.
