I don't have any problems with Jack White's playing. Many of his songs may be simple, but that's the idea. It's two people making a lot of noise. His riffs are quite catchy as well, not that it's always a redeeming quality, but at least you can hum the guitar part. A lot of "nu" metal bands don't seem to think that actually being able to tell if there is a guitar or not is important. |

Or in some cases, the guitar part that you THINK is the bassline... |

My next guitar is a 97 Les Paul Double cutaway studio that I saw hanging on the shelf of my music store. Rare? Yes. Good playing? Yes.
Buy something thats good and fits you right. |

For $800 American bucks you can get an American Strat without all the frills. A Gibson SG worn cherry or black I think or most of the Schecters.
Of course there are many others under 800 but I played everything you can think of at the Guitar center around the corner from my work for years. The best guitar for tone, playability, and overall aesthetics would be the Schecter C-1 Plus. I bought a used one for $200 and I'm very happy with it. |

I'm not sure what idea you were intending to convey with that statement. Maybe it's just an observation. Anyway, it kind of confused me. |

if you listen to 7 Nation Army or Black Orchid the guitar sounds like a bass cuz he has an octave effect so its really low |

Back to the topic. What will be your next guitar? I looked at a new acoustic today. Here is the link. I want the natural finish.

Is that all you were trying to say? I'm wondering if your were trying to imply it's a good, bad, or really nothing... thing. |

Craigslist is awesome. Sometimes you get a lot of s***heads on there trying to rip people off (I saw a guy trying to sell an Ibanez Gio and a Solid State Fender amp for $1000). But then again, I also saw a Marshall JCM head for $450, which I'd say is a good deal.
But you get to try and see the stuff before you buy, which is very helpful. And it's generally cheaper than eBay. |

Yea, I went to the guitar shop today. I was looking at gibsons but there is no way I can pay $2500 right now for a guitar. The Takamine caught my eye so I picked it up and started playing it and it was amazing. love at first strum ;p |

chordobra just switch it's modal line a while ago so if you try you still might be able to find the old $1,200 modals for 700 or 800 on Clarance in guitar center (seeing the never sell in that place) that's how i got mine. there not the best (i have played a custom made one once holly hell) but for production line brand they are petty good. i would go with that or a José Ramirez. i can't see buying a cheap classical they just sound bad to me
ps if you like the guitar just buy new pegs they are not hard to switch out |
