You need to understand that the quality of the instrument isn't going to be good for that price. It'll have cheap wood, bad pickups, bad tuning keys, cheap electronic along with a whole lot of other problems... but if you're planning on using it as a trial run on guitar and can deal with that then just type into google something like 'Guitar $50' and you should find something.
Alternatively you could get a guitar that may be a bit better if you buy used. Not sure what will be in the price range though. |

Summer is here, maybe you can get some work this summer and by Fall you'll have enough to get a reasonably priced guitar, plus that will give you some time to look around for a guitar that suits your hand size.
just a thought |

Check out some pawn shops and 2nd had stores. You might be able to find a junk guitar there, but i would not say good. |

You'll definitely have to buy used if you want a guitar for $50. I would suggest saving some more money until you get at least $100 for the guitar. With 50 dollars, you'll probably get a crappy guitar that won't be any fun to play, and you'll get sick of it quickly.
Here are some guitars around $100 dollars that may work for you. I don't know how the necks are on them though, so I suggest trying them out before you buy them.
Dean Evo XM
Squier Bullet Strat
Ibanez GRX20
But since these are all electric guitars, you'll also need an amp. I don't know any good ones, but I recommend talking to someone at a guitar store for help. But for guitar and amp, you may be looking at $200 total.
You could also look into acoustics, but anything that is very inexpensive will probably not sound very good. Here are some around $100 though.

A second hand, very battered Schecter will probably fill the bill. I also have fairly small hands and found the Schecter range quite comfortable. Brand new they start at around £120/$240 ish.

Have you played guitar before? I'm left handed but I play right handedly, and I get on fine to be honest. I could never form a barre chord with my right hand I don't think! |

For that price, this looks to be your only option.
As far as left handed/right handed things go, just play a right handed guitar. I'm left-handed and I play perfectly fine using right handed guitars.
Funny thing is that I can't play left-handed guitars.
But, seriously, there's a lot more variety in right handed guitars than there is in left handed. |

Yeah, you'll get more variety and most people will say it's as easy to learn both as long as you've been playing like that from the start. |

Schecters have some of the best necks I've ever played. I played with a band who played at a 4th-of-July festival here and used one of their Strats; It felt like the neck was made out of sandpaper! Also, the Schecter necks are thin. I have fairly large hands and can wrap my hand around the whole thing (or close to it). |
