just wondering if any 1 else here finds it hard the first 20 min from picking up a guitar. My syncronisation is all over the shop trying to go through a major scale is as sloppy as one can get.Am i in the minority or does every1 have it tough getting warmed up or do some people just pick up the guitar and play lightning lick straight away? |

I just pick it up and start playing Rage Against The Machine bass lines, I can play them damn quick no problem, and because Freedom and Killing in the Name of use repetition and stretches (well killing does) I can warm up quicker.
my problem is coming up with something nice to play -.- I can't come up with anything anymore. |

Warming up is really important, in my opinion. I always do. |

Yeah, takes me a while to warm up, especially when it's cold weather. I find that bending is a good way to stretch the fingers, providing you don't push too far too soon |

I always fill my sink with hot water soak my hands for a couple minutes, then a cold water soak followed by one more in hot it seems to loosen the muscles and tendons, then I just rock some scales & sweeps. |

Sometimes I cant play really fast at first. Drinking beer or soda really makes me play faster. |

I always have to warm up for about twenty min. I use Gituar slinger's lesson "Finger workout" and a few things I made up out of the pentatonic scale. |
