Where can i find tab on the net?

Does anyone know where to find tablature on rock music? I found one site but it only has country music on it.

ultimate guitar.com, e-chords is also gr8 if u sign up. i personally think e-chords has better tabs although they dont have as many

just google the song and the word tab besides it

Ultimateguitar.com has hundreds of songs, although they are not tabbed by the original artists. They are pretty damn close though. Good luck

Wow! nice to see one of my threads brought back to life by someone other than me. lol... This was over a year ago, I try to work everything out by ear now. I haven't looked at Tab in forever.

Either way I'd stear clear of UG personally. I've had 2 songs from there to find out they were completely wrong. Wish I could figure it out by ear! I'm just going to stick with buying tab books of the songs I want.

heather its not too hard, once you find that first note or chord you can literally guess everytime where it goes next. and if its a reall trouble some song i normally find a guitar pro file for it somewhere :)

i learn all my songs on that site

there , honestly, is no one place that has accurate tabs, but if you are forced to look on the web 911 and ultimate guitar.com have the biggest crop to cherry pick from.

if the tab is for a certain band you love try checking their website of fan-sites.

its sad, but true that almost 80% (i'd say more) of online tab is incorrect. I know this, lol, after a zillion times of "fixing" bad tabs for my students *(who ,lol, i then tell to 'stay off the web' , tab-wise or at least email me the tab in question.

i don't understand why these sites don't 'police themselves' more effectively or more often .. some, like the two i mentioned above have user-ratings and that helps.

still; if its band-specific , try the home-pages/fan-pages first as USUALLY(lol) the die-hard fans (or the author!) will do their damnedest to insure accuracy.

it gives u interviews and 5 (4 on a rare ocation) tabs on random rck songs from the most well known bands (led zepplin, slipknot,acdc,messugah) and its only 12$ for 1 year of monthly magazines which in my point of view is totally worth it

I agree with carlsnow on this. There are a lot of incorrect tabs (not to be confused with an original approach to a song which is part of the creative process).

I'll go Ultimateguitar or Chordie and look at all the versions. Sometimes I'll still google the song for more input...and search Youtube for any instructional videos. I like some youtube lessons for 'the approach' to a song as much as the chords, etc.

As carlsnow warns..be careful. I'll go through a whole song before I start to learn a version. I find a lot of them will start off fine but then 'lose it' later on..perhaps the writer becomes sloppy or bored. What you don't want to do is spend gobs of effort on the first few bars to find the whole thing implodes or gets confusing later on. Don't read the end of a novel until you come to it but be sure to look at the end of a song before starting to learn the beginning.
