And Doz I really like your Ibanez,I have owned a few of them but my thoughts are that they are oustanding playing and sounding guitars but the volume nob gets in the way, this is also a draw back on the Kramer(same stlye)but having a original Rose lets my hand move slightly back so when I play I don.t turn the guitar down as I play, as I normally do with this stlye of guitar. |

Also, Freeway EMG's are wicked nice too. |

Thats cool ....Its kinda wierd my pinky on my right hand just slightly rubs the nob and it slowly turns down ,I was going to tape mine or try to lock it some how. |

i used to have that problem...where my pinky would turn the volume knob...but then i watched a video of some dude and he was explaining the different advantages to slanting your pick to different degrees and i was messing around with that...i found that by slanting my pick to about 45 degrees and i can pick more accurately and my pinky isnt close to the volume knob anymore... |

@GS,
You mean so that like your pick is kind of hitting the strings at the side of the pick, and the tip too?
It is hard to explain... |

The only thing I'm not sure if I like or not about this guitar is the pick gaurd. I don't know if it looks better with or without the pick gaurd.

^^^ Has a nice guitar.
Maybe if you got like a black pickguard or something it would suit it better. Thats a really nice guitar though.
One thing I hate about most les paul guitar's I played:
The 22nd fret is really hard to Access |

I have a small marshal amp I think it is the same amp as the one pictured above in goodtunes picture. does a small amp take away from your guitar's sound. |

i like the pick guard it's a nice contrast form the darkness of the guitar. if you did go with black pick guard then the pickup ring's and the selector switch ring would stand out more. as it is they really are not notice.
it's a very nice looking guitar |

It's not that it 'takes away' from your sound. It just depends on the wattage of it. If it is like 100 watts then you are gonna have loads of power. If it is only 10.. Well, it is good enough for a practice amp.
I use a 30 watt Line 6 Spider III and I love it. I think they are very underrated. I think it sounds amazing (for my liking) and it is pretty loud for 30 watts too. It has built in effects and everything. You just need the right kind of amp that suits you and your sound.
If you want more sound, look into a cabin and a pedal (single or multi effects) because you can join most single effects, it will give you a really unique sound. |

The up-side of having a volume knob in that position is that it's great for 'violining'. |

Hi J.M.P.A. I notice the whammy bar on your Hondo Strat is scewed in between your B & E strings. Is this by accident or design? |

I use my pinky and palm to mute the strings...which, you are right, makes angeling the pick kinda awkward...so what i did was simple bend my index finger and my thumb a little further in to compensate...it may take some getting used to, but i found it easier to play right away. |

Thanks! I like it.
A buddy of mine gave me this guitar to use while i was shopping for my Guild. Anyone know anything about it. I have seen guitars for sale that look just like it for under 200 US and seen others just the same for over 1000. either way I think it's beautiful. |

not it's pretty standard. really nice piece! I love the wood grain. I have been thinking about a hollow body for the last several months. I'll defiantly have to check it out.

I have played a lot of guitars and never felt the need to use a 24th fret if that is what your talking about. i had a 24 fret Ibanez and got rid of it, just did not like it. I don't use a lot of the high registers when i play personaly it's just not my style. I would imagine it's a play it if you got it thing. if you only got 21 frets thats what your going to play... |
