Hey all, I've had this idea and wanted to get some feed back on it.
It's very rough and really quite country (I know alot of your are into metal). but what I'm trying to do is combine organic almost industrial drums with a country song. I used a plug in for ezdrummer called twisted.
http://www.stonetrout.com/ this should play automaticly but i'll try and get a download link up too.
What I'm looking for is if the two fit at all. I'm torn between loving it and hating it. and I'm not sure i should continue with it

I like it dude. I can definitely see it as part of a soundtrack for a horror movie. |

I don't know... i feel sorta indifferent about it.
I think you need to either speed up the guitar, or slow down the drums. I think the tempo of both is a little off and they need to line up better. It just didn't give me a great feel: The guitar made me want to just sway back and forth, while the drums made me want to jump around. You need to pick either feel, not both. |

That's the point. I find that Extreme contrasts help create a more twisted atmosphere. |

Thanks for the feed back...
I was really trying to create a strong contrast to open major chords (were a lot of my songs start) with junk industrial percussion.
I may play around with it some more. |

Mission accomplished! All you need is some sorrowfull lap steel playing or a resonator with a slide. |

Try putting b7ths on top of the tonic major chord. It may create a more stressed tone. if my music theory memory serves me correct, they may create a really eerie feel |

ok so round 2
I've added another one even more majory as the other but with the same drums. I really liked this one better than the first.

Well, if you like the twist things little more, add electric lead guitar on that horror country song and its uber twisted :D. Seriously, it could be cool to "imitate" a screams with distortion on that... keep it comin m8.
