My First PROPER gig:D:D:D

welllssss.....my bands got our first gig at a talent show and we're playing immigrant song and rock 'n' roll both by zeppelin. What do u think of the songs, good choice bad choice?
im stumped on wat to wear. I was just gonna wear jeans and a normal t-shirt but i dno...wat do u think?

You should pull an Adam D. outfit hehe skin tight black body suit and a polka dot cape. Just kidding, who cares what you where, if youre having fun thats all that counts. Those are great songs! Got anything you composed yourselves? Rock on and have fun.

Sorry, I haven't heard the songs and my speakers are bust again, so I can't check them out. But I bet they're good songs, you'd never consider playing a bad song at a gig.

What sort of gig is it? As long as it's no where fancy I don't see why you can't wear casual. Just ask the other musicians you're with what sort of cloths they're wearing there. Then you can be sure you won't look silly if you're all in casual, it'd bw worse if some of you were in suits and others weren't.

Good luck, I bet you're going to be great! I saw you play on a post before and you were brilliant.

I'm not much for "Rock N' Roll". Yes to "Immigrant Song" though. Personally if you're doing something more classic-rock-ish I do an Aerosmith song and the finish with immigrant. Just me though.

Anyway, I'd wear something Rock N' Rolly. Maybe a jean with an old t-shirt. A leather jacket sounds really cliché, but if you don't take yourself too seriously it could be cool.

ZOMG...gig was tonight...it was pretty awesome. I STILL dont know if we played good or not, like i mean i thought we played good but i got mixed signals from everyone

@ Empirism, hahahaha good lord!! That was brilliant! I'm loving the hair style in the first! 2nd is just general amusement because he's wearing a woman's shirt and just generally looks like a hobo.

Me too. It's frustrateing! I definately know him from somewhere, but I have no idea who he is at the same time. Looks familiar. Urgh, who is he, Emp? The suspense is killing me!

He is Andy McCoy from band Hanoi Rocks, in my opinion one of the best and remarkable Finnish bands in history. Hanoi Rocks was one of the biggest influence for Gun's N Roses, Mötley Crue, Poison, Ratt, Skid Row and many more.

Also Billy Idol, Manic street preachers and Foo fighters declared as Hanoi Rocks fans, Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett started to play guitar inspired by Andy McCoy and Hanoi Rocks. Mike McCready from Pearl Jam told in one interview that Pearl Jam tried to be like Hanoi Rocks in its early days.

In the Metal headbangers journal, Hanoi Rocks in mentioned along with 6 other bands biggest influence to Glam Metal and cause of Hanoi Rocks subgenre of glam metal called Sleeze Rock was born

This might sound a bit annealing or overpraising, but these are all facts and Im very happy to have a possibility to know and "live" with this band from its early days to this day, when they quited. *Sigh* every good thing have to come and end someday...
