awesome, phip! i like it a lot.

im curious, did you apply a chorus or a reverb to the vocals by any chance? or did you overdub the vocals?

Wow, awesome. Great job Phip!!

Sounds like you overdubbed the vocals and added some reverb.

Nice one Phippie.
It do sound like chorus. Little reverb might cause of recording style. ^_^ speculations, speculations.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. Yes that is a reverb effect. I like the reverb but I think I overdid it a bit, so I'm going to redo the song and still use the reverb, just not as much this time.
I'll let you know when i put up the new version.
Thanks again,
Phip

@ Alf,
Hey thanks man, i appreciate it. I'll go to purevolume and make the songs downloadable, then you can take them if you want. but first I think i am going to post a different version of blackbird, but first i am going to get the opinion of a friend. I want a bit less reverb so i've recorded it again and just want to make sure it is better the new way. if it is i'll replace the song on purevolume and post the change here.

Phip, it sounds great. You're really good for a year of playing. I listened to both songs, and they're great. Keep it up, and remember to let us all know when your next song gets posted.

Hi gang,
Just wanted to let you know I recorded a new version of blackbird that I like better than the first, so I removed the original song and replaced it with the new one. If you follow the above link you can listen and download the song if you wish. Soy liked it so what more can you ask for with a recommendation like that? I quote "Best damn song I ever heard, maybe the best song that ever was"! (nah, I made that up) LOL
Thanks for your support,
Phip

hey Phip i don't know what you listen to but seeing what your posted check out Syd Barrett (if you don't all ready) his solo stuff not the stuff with Pink Floyd(though in my opinion the best Floyd stuff) i think you really like him and keep up the good work.

-namely i just want to see you do a Syd Barrett tune-
