TABs?
They are super easy when you can learn em

e,B,G,D,A,E are the strings, high to low.

|----------
|----------
|---------
|---------
|---------
|---------

Each pipe figure | represents the string. The top one, is the high e string, the bottom is the low E string. and all the others are in order.

If there is a number on the dashes where the pipes are, that shows what fret to play. Ex:

|------6-------
|-----5---
|----4-----
|---3--------
|--2----------
|-1--------------

Meaning; 6th string 1st fret, 5th string 2nd fret, 3rd string 3rd fret, 2nd string 4th fret, 1st string 6th fret.

That's the basics the best I can explain it over the computer.

WTF when did your post count become insane GB? I just noticed!!!

Anyways chord progressions usually come up as G G# A etc. in paper tabs but in user submitted tabs it will come up as regular fingering wich confuses me sometimes. and Welcome to the site.

Idk league, haha I need to go out and get myself a life and stop coming on this site :P

Too bad.

And what I hate about on UG when you look up tabs fer songs mainly on acoustic, it has like, a Chord, then it has lyrics under it then a Chord changing at a diff lyric. It really confuses me especially if I don't know the strumming ;/

I don't mind stuff like: G / / / etc.

That's why it helps to have the song to listen too. I stopped using tablature after a while.

I agree with Foogered. I only use tabs when Im stuck on some notes. I pretty much learned to play all songs by ear. Theory helpos a lot.

yeah it is just those 4 chords + Dm. when i was learning it, I only had an acoustic and had trouble playing the F, and Dm chords but by the time i learned it i could play both those chords.

Well, acoustic isn't really that hard to learn on (depending on how thin the neck is, and how high the action is), but those bar chords (especially the F bar-chord) are a bitch on any guitar.

barre chords are worse when your guitar is set up for slide so you can barely fret it as is
