it should be what ever makes u happy. why else do we play guitar? to impress ppl? no. to enjoy it.

Yea you can use a scale you enjoy but if the fans don't like it...it's a useless song...if agnus young wanted to use a different scale for back in black and it sounded crapish no one would like it as much, if at all.

Sorry I interpreted it to mean how popular the song is as in the scale of it's impact not the actual scale like a mode

i think he means based off a scale league but i wold say from your personal feelings

music shouldnt be about the FANS enjoying it, for me you should make music that YOU the player enjoys. scales are helpful to make your music sound good, but it doesnt mean you must use them

A good song is a representation of your emotion that you want t portray to listeners.
