Hmm... did this really need a new thread? However, what do you want from a judge, just to say how good the end result it?

i guess to judge each compeditor.. just watch the vids, and whoever has the best feedback wins i guess...

What, are the begginers going head to head with the advanced?

I think its each level will be split into 2 or more groups...it wouldnt be that fair to have beginner v adv.

I was thinking maybe we could all vote by using the poll feature. maybe leave the poll up for a week and select a winner from each level of skill. i don't think it would be fair to put beginners up against advanced. also you guys should start putting together bands. start PMing each other to see who wants to play with who. or is that whom?

should we have bands vs bands or guitarist vs guitarist?

if it is just for guitarists we can all just post a song we've done which takes all the fun out of working together to see what we can come up with. i say band vs band. this won't be some sort of death match or anything (unless you want it to be). i was more or less thinking it would be fun to work together to put together a song with people from across the globe. (phip sings "we are the world" in michael jackson voice badly).
some of you guys might work well together. it's more for fun than anything, at least that's the way i interpreted it. have to ask soy. yeah that's it, blame soy

I could be a judge I can't enter because I don't a video camera or anything and I know my music.

just want to clear something up. a video camera is NOT neccessary! all anyone needs is a computer and a way to record their part of the song. so basically a computer and a reasonalble microphone is all that's needed really.

ye...some 1 like skold or som 1 here with a record mixer could just mix them all for us tht dont have mixers

u had the idea of doing one band i had the idea of battle of the bands, so hah!! and hah again1!!

To be honest, I think a better idea is to find a loopable backing track and everyone record a guitar solo over it. Then have that judged in catagories (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

doz, good idea, but some of us rnt tht creative, i think we should all go our separate ways, but still have "battle of the bands" if tht band wants to, it can play its own version of the song, or it can play a cover of the song. and according to the polls, we should play diff songs, tht the bands choose.

geez, another good idea! that's great if your a lead player not so good if you're rhythm. still i don't see why we cant do several types of exhibitions. it's not like we have to limit ourselves. might want to keep a looping track in an easy key. (WTF is a looping track?)

why not just do it like a real battle of the bands every one pick there own song and let the judges decide.

ye i agree with lp...let every pick ther own song, whether it be a cover, a remake, or them making ther own song, just play it.
