@macandcanga
From what I've seen Schecters come ready to play out of the box.
Most other brands want you to pay extra for setup, new strings, etc.
Schecter is one of the few that doesn't |

@DL
I would think that everyone will eventually need to setup their guitar to what they like regardless of how it plays before hand. I've played quite a few Fender's and Gibson's that were very odd for what I like the action to be. I don't think that Schecter is exempt from personal preference(though they are fantastic).
@BBT
In reference to the strings, I really like 9-46's for standard stuff(call me a wimp, I don't care!) and I also really enjoyed 10-52's for Standard/Drop D(Not much lead for lead playing though).
Also, are you fingers like uber brutal strong yet? I know that you switched to 11s like 2 months ago...I've got 11s on my strat, but I'm definitely not going to tune back up to standard haha I fear that if I did that my guitar might be able to double as a longbow XD

@dl,
Yeah you're right. I bought mine used from one of the sales guys at Guitar Center and it was set up nice. But even ones that I played before that always played so well and that's why I was looking for one in the first place. |
