i was playing a riff that goes:

b-17--19--
the note on the e string sounds like im barely pressing it. and now im starting to realize a lot of my high e notes sound bad also. does any one know why and how to fix it

check out the action. My B and G strings sounded horrible on my strat, then I adjusted the action to be a tad higher, now they actually sound pretty good.
And hopefully its only the action and not the neck warping, that would be very bad.
hope this helps :)

get the sucker intonate-d ..by a pro
then
ask him/her "what did you do-how that -and- why did you do that."
ive been behind that table before as have many friends and can state w/ authority that if you ask the Pro "what-how-why' he/she will be delighted to tell you. seriously
(just dont do itr on , lol, a Saturday or Friday afternoon lol
.. try Tuesdays-Wednesdays-etc, Dig?

There are 2 slotted screws on the sides of you bridge forget whether you tighten or loosen them but try both

be careful not to overdo it too, I usually have my action set a little above 1/8th in. and a really high action isn't very easy to play nor will it sound the best.

yea but on the Epiphone SG The neck tilts backwards so you can't have low action
