just an idea for the licks section

i was thinking about the licks section and i was thinking about a C4C(critic for critic) which mean if you rate and person theyll rate back kinda thing. cause thats what people on ultimate-guitar when they want more people to look at their stuff, but its just an idea.
it might help people get more comments on their licks and stuff to

No way. The point in this rating system on THIS SITE is that it's anonymous so no one knows who is rating, and it should stay that way. Otherwise everyone will start arguements and not want to rate honestly.

well i dont mean the rating part but leaving a comment saying that they like it or hate it would be nice or something, if some1 doesnt like something i do i dont care

Problem is many people will care. I like it when people have a simple choice to comment or/and rate seperately. I wouldn't want people to fall out over sometin so silly if they rated lower then the composer wanted or people to stop voteing all together. I like the site the way it is.

There is a comments box for each lick, you can write it under every lick. You can rate it, but it won't tell you who rated it.

Saying you like something or hate it is pointless, you need to explain why, you can't say you hate something if you don't understand what it is they're playing.

I like the way it is. I've not used the lick section much but i've gone in and looked from time to time but feel it's good just the way it is.

I think something needs changing in there. Organization really, it's a mess. There needs to be someone who moderates the licks sections. Accepting, denying, deleting, retitling - that sort of thing.

I agree, and I have deleted a fair few. But then there are a fair amount of simple players on this forum, so I can't exactly delete the ones I would personally find to be a pointless lick.

I'll discuss it with the other mods and see what they think.

I don't mean that, I mean you should delete licks that aren't really quality content. There should also be catagories in difficulty which moderators should set, not the users.

Yeah, I've asked the Admin if he can help us mods out with new settings, so that'll be sorted soon. (Hopefully!) 'Cause I'm feeling the same way.
