so im savin up for a new guitar. im probably gonna get either an Epiphone Goth Explorer, or a ESP/LTD V-500. or maybe a BCRich Kerry King Signature V. anyone have any experience with these guitars?

nah, not a bit. I don't like V's though, I always feel like they're going to fall off of my lap when I sit down and play one.

i have a Js30 Rhoads, quite similar to a V, im thinking a normal V would be more comfortable

The goth explorer I'd say. I've seen some of those goth epis and they look REALLY nice. And Epiphone usually doesn't dissapoint. Personally, I wouldn't go with ANY BC Rich, but thats just preference.

the problem with the explorer is that it doesnt have 24 frets

Do you REALLY need 24? I know it has only 22, but if you play a 24, and then buy a 22 somewhere along the line it'll mess you up. My guitar teacher did that once. we were learning new material and he was messing up as much as I was. lol.

i might not, cuz i think im gonna start focusing more on rhythm and a little less on lead. so i may get one of those, but i want to try them first

Yeah Vs have a tendency to do that. The best way to practice with them when sitting is to have the right point (the one nearest the floor) go under your thigh and the left point above so your thigh occupies the cut-out inbetween.

with vs you can play sittin like classic guitar is supposed to be held... i got my v because i wanted to get used to play standing up
