Slash. He was better in the 90's and late 80's though riff wise. |

synyster gates and zakky vengeance are quite high in my opinion. saw them live at twickenham when i went to see iron maiden and caught zakkys pick. was really chuffed considering i was in a crowd of about 10000 people. their harmonising guitar solos are also pretty sweet. so yeah theyre high rankings for 21st century material. |

zakk is just random pentatonics, with loads of wah, + tapping, plus harmonics. |

with this list I cant give the answer. Kirk hammett is there, but no Joe Satriani who teached Kirk... Who Rock the most? Angus... not in the list... Laiho is easily best of these... |

ok first...how come the list cannot be added to? A decade had more than just 5 guitar players.
Second, best how? Best guitar player is kind of vague isn't it. Best for what reasons.
I am boycotting this poll!!!! |

theyre all like that for some reason
Jari Maenpaa from wintersun is also amazing. John Pettrucci isnt there either. and i would say Hammet is more from the 80's and 90's. in this decade he has 1 record he actually has played in i think |

I think they're pretty cool, although I don't listen to Avenged Sevenfold much. I think some of the stuff they can do with sweeping and that is really awesome. I just think they dress like ass-holes, but that's beside the point really. Hendrix and Page wore funky clothes too, and they're considered greats! :P
