Could be your frets, take it to the shop and see what they say about it, ask them if they can check it for free, and don't fix it. When they tell you the problem either get them to fix it for a price or find someone who will do it for you. |

it's your intonation it could be any number of things without seeing the guitar it's is imposable to tell. If it is your fret or bridge then your in good shape for there easy to fix however they wouldn't just happen out of the blue unless something happened to um for example change brand/gauge of string or got hit some how, put the string on wrong. if it is the neck, the neck would be twisted seeing how it's only the e string that could be the end of your guitar depend on how bad it is and if it worth the cost of the fix. get a tuner and tests spots up and down the neck like 3,7,12,15,17 try the higher notes on all the strings if there all off then the neck is bowed and that can be fix with the truss rod. All in all take it in to be fix if it means that much to you or it's wroth the cost of a repair man |

are all the strings out of tune at the 12th ?
it is december and it's cold and dry. chances are you just need a
setup which will involve a truss rod adjustment that will fix the
intonation problem.
