Hey all, I've figured out my ensomble & composition songs for my music coursework, now I just need a solo. I should find a song for me to practice every night now and get my guitar teacher to help me play it, I was wondering is 'Sweet home Alabama' as easy to play on guitar as people say? I'm no standard guitarist, I'm a pretty bad player right now frankly! So if you'd like to suggest any other great but easy enough songs for me to see my teacher about then feel free to suggest that too.
Thank you |

Depends, a lot of songs start of easy but get complicated,
Stairway to heaven is very playable throughout, even for a rooky.
Could always look into some cool blues solos. Great easy to play solos abound. |

hehe, this is up my alley, the first or 2nd solo, there both fairley easy, simple pentatonics. an easy solo to impress a teacher, well how bout an ac/dc one? also simple pentatonics. what about u shook me all nite long? pretty easy. |

Good ideas, I'll ask my teachers on those and find the tabs to bring them myself just incase the other guitarists don't these songs already...I can only hope my main music teacher will like them by the end! I thought he'd really like 'Drinkin' me lonely' as I practically memorized the chords and played them well. And it was the BEST guitar I ever did, and he said nothig but "Find a new song"! It's not as if I included the lyrics! He just said the tittle was bad so now I have to find something wasy with a 'appropriate tittle'. So might have to twish 'You shook me all night long'! Ha
Wish me luck for now all! |
