Where were the people crowdsurfing? I have to say two things about the concert I attended May 20: Megadeth=Fucking awesome, Bodom=awesome, In flames=sucky. The people were moshing and crowd surfing in San Diego but I had to be the craziest fucker in the stands when Holy Wars was playing. My neck hurt so bad the following morning. I hope they filmed me.LOL.

Yeah., Pusher, it doesn't seem like Mustaine would just quit like that. He's only in his like 40's he still has another like 20 - 30 years left that he can make music. Unless maybe DS meant done touring and then going to work on some new material... Hopefully.

I duno if he'll quit or not. He's still very bitter about being in Metallica's shadow, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did quit.

dude Megadeth are not in Metallicas shadow they never were adn true he may write a new album but he'll still always be there and the Gigantour is already huge therefore it'll last longer than any one band

thats not why, it was cuz Metallica hired him, he wrote songs and made them famous, then fired him with no warning, and giving him no credit. if someone did that to me id be pretty ticked too

Personally, I think Megadeth kicks Metallica's ass! Especially now cause St. Anger sucks. No solos. Crappy drums. Guitar sounds like crap. I hate the whole thing. I like MD waaaay better than Metallica. Dave is a better singer than James too. I find he's more versatile. Yeah sure Met has SOME good songs, but MD has way more.

I've seen that movie thing on Much Music back in the winter. At least Dave HAS some emotion. And Lars is just a pussy in my opinion for flipping out at Napster. Yeah, um.. Everyone downloads music, get over it you greedy fool.

That's my opinion on the two bands, just what I think.

They fired him cos he got drunk too much. And there was also something about Hetfield kicking Mustaine's dog (which does seem harsh) and then Mustaine punched Hetfield in the mouth.

It's possible to see why Mustaine is so upset by the whole scenario. Hetfield and him basically made a style which became the blueprint for the next decade of metal. Metallica grew and grew in popularity while Megadeth were always second best.

Lars was in tears too. I don't think they showed it in the film, but Mustaine said in an interview that he annoyed that it was edited to make him look like an idiot, while Lars was crying as well.

I agree, Lars is a twat for flipping out at Napster, but he's got a point though - if you spent years putting your heart and soul into writing and recording an album and then found that people were allowed to download it because Napster "said they could", then you would be pretty pissed off too.

As for the Pantera bit, I am actually starting not really be as much of a fan of them as I used to. I am getting into the hair bands and stuff like W.A.S.P. , Twisted Sister, Poison, Helloween, Dokken, etc. Guns n Roses has always been my favorite metal band though.

I agree that that is pretty stupid editing the Lars thing out. But like, it's good for a guy to be sensitive/emotional instead of being a total dick and having NO emotion whatsoever.

DAve=100% Metal. Dave Mustaine's solos and rhythm are better than Kirk and James combined. I actually blame Metallica for inspiring and supporting NuMetal and that is not cool. No offense Bodom. BTW Childre of Bodom were badass at Gigantour.

To be honest, I love classic metal, and a lot of hair metal, but I also do love some Nu Metal for some reason. I think it's my friend that caused that cause he loves that stuff and I started hanging with him and listening to it, so yeah.

Metallica isn't metal anymore. Like remember in the 80's when they were all heavy metal and had super long hair, and now they are 40 something and have short hair and they are more like pretty-boys (who are just plain ugly) now. Short hair = not metal
