I'd go for (In order)
Roland Cube series amp- Best value for the money and great small amps and awesome variety
Vox- A little pricey but great EQ's and effects and solid tones
Carvin- A little more expensive than the Vox, but better quality and the best clean tones for the money as well as solid distortion, though you only get get standard EQ's and effects are nothing great
Fender- Classic tones, solid cleans and good EQ, but poor distortion for anything heavier
Orange- Great cleans and good EQ but very pricey and cheesy distortion
Marshall- Good beginner amp, easy to use and find an adequate enough tones plus decent effects and EQ. Cleans are nothing great and distortions are generic sounding and the amps are over priced
Line Six- Usually cheaper, great effects variety and a decent EQ,
NOT FOR BEGINNERS, difficult to find a good tone, poor wiring - consider packaging this amp with a compressor or noise suppressor.
Hope that helps!
Rock on!
