Anyone know anything about Trip Tranny's?

If so, any ideas on the odds of a successfull swap between a 2000 Honda Prelude VTEC 4 speed trip trans. and a recent 'anymodel' Lamborghini 6 speed trip trans.?

I don't know if that would be too successful. I'm no mechanic, but I have my reasons to thinking why this wouldn't work.

1. Can the Honda hold the power of Lamborghini technology?
2. Honda - Japanese, Lambo - Italian. They make cars quite differently.
3. I don't know how well it would work out going from a 4 to a 6 speed.

like I said, I'm no mechanic (yet), but I have a good knowledge of cars. Mainly German cars and Toyota, but japanese cars aren't all that different from one another. I'm just not a connoisseur of Italian cars though. Check google if you haven't already.

All that's irevlevant. Thanks for the answer though. Lambo to Honda... doesn't matter, the ECU still sees a tiptronic either way, just need to reprogram and retune (which I gotta do anyway for the twin turbo) it for 6 gears. I did some research on my own too, found it is possible to make the swap... but I think I am SOL on getting Lambo parts for my budget.

Hey, well, I learned something outside of school today.

Yeah it's an absolute monster under all that innocence(and would make for one hell of a surprise in a street race against any unsuspecting people) but I'd be much more terrified of Ahnold right off the bat XD
