You are playing an A note, E note, and a G note
A is the root, so I'm guessing it's in the key of A, but they are all naturals so it could be in the key of C. And there's more possibilities that I'm not saying.
What chord it is I don't know, ultimate-guitar says it's a variation of an A maj7 with no 3rd.
That's my best guess, don't trust me too much |

Or a variation of Em add4 no 5th. Just using A(4) as bass note. |

Is it possible that it is an inverted chord in the key of C? I don't knowmuch about inversions, but it seems kinda weird to omit the 3rd of any chord. It seems that is only really done with suspended chords which would have a 2nd or 4th and this has neither for A. |

@btimm That would make it C6 no root. Using A(6) as bass note |

New thought, no 3rd = power chord
so it would be an A powerchord with an added 7th? |

If this is used in a song, what note is the bass playing? That could give us a good clue as well. |

@nullnaught..No because it has a b3rd. Sus chords have no third that's why it's add4. It works the same way with 9th chords. If you have a 7th and a 9th it's called 9th but with no 7th it's called add 9. |
