First audition advice??

Im auditioning for my first time tomorrow, for a school music program and its a really popular program and alot of students are auditioning as well. Any suggestions of what i should do or not do?

i just did this. i planned it out over a while... it shouldnt be an on the spot thing... what style of music does the school lean towards, classical or jazz... and what pieces are you playing?

im not really sure what style, they put on like shows and each year is a different theme, this school year thats just ending they did 90s i think... im playing I Shot The Sheriff (Eric Clapton version) cause most kids are going to be sitting down and totally shredding solos, so the minority will be rhythm guitar players, so they will have plenty of soloists and i think i will have a better chance if i play a rhythm kinda funky-ish song.. haha

Ledzep don't fret TOO much(no pun intended :P), though a little nervousness and anxiety is going to happen(and can be good sometimes). If you can't play an "uber" fast lick, don't worry about it, most kids will sound close to the same as the next one(with a few outliers), so if you play a nice bluesy heartfelt solo they will definitely give you a look for leads, and if you can play a solid rhythm you will also get some looks for that.
Don't sweat it, treat it like you are going to jam your favorite song but with people watching this time ;)

Thanks for the advice i really appreciate it. i always get nervous before i do a show and that normal for me. Im chargin the guitar up tonight so ill be ready to rock out tomorrow. :D haha.

Just got back, it went really well and everyone was really nice, jammed with some kids while i was waiting too.
