Help with movie maker

need help with windows movie maker, im using windows xp... it keeps telling me to download a new version or something...

acctually heres exactly what it says:

The file C:\Documents and Settings\Laura Sherris\My Documents\My Music\101PNV01\mr.crowley 1.MPG cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

restarting doesnt work...installing the codec didnt work unless i did the wrong one... help?

yeah,try reinstalling the codec.

Yeah,reinstall everything windows movie maker...OR! Get sony vegas or another high end video editing software,i find WMM quite hard to use and not really good for some more advanced productions!
