Im getting one, just want some sincere & realistic opinion. I will never be able to play one if i dont have one, this is as there is not 1 in any store near the city i live in.

The options ive found are 4, mainly:

I have a budget of, if most generous, 450$.

I want it to be a decent sounding dobro, both plugged and unplugged; to have a good intonation, no buzzing frets, a relatively stable tunning for the price. I can have it delivered to brownsville texas, or coral springs, florida, or if possible mexico.

my brother has the Dean, its the only resonator ive played, so i cant really say if its good or bad, but the strings seemed way to high for me, but he doesnt seem to have a problem playing it, maybe its just me and my sissy electric guitar hands =p

but it sounds good to my ears, but like i said, its the only one ive played so i cant really say what a good one is supposed to sound/feel like

@BBT:
the action can be adjusted, thats not a problem, besides i play as much acoustic as electric. But how does the intonation feel? any buzzing frets?

and about the other dobros, by reading the specifications of each model, which one do you think is the best?

action comes higher on these due to them being "Seen" as slide guitars.

just a heads up Soy(i don't know if you know this already) make sure it is a round neck(normal guitar playing) not a square neck(lap steel) other that i don't know enough, but why don't you try looking at Dobro(brand, there really called resonators) they started it all and i think they have models in your range.
