Tuning Pegs

So i have this guitar

and i LOVE it. but the the B and G string tuning pegs will not hold tune. is there anything i can do short of getting new tuning pegs to fix it? thanks

did you try tightening the little screws on the outside of the tuning pegs?

Other than tightening the screws of the pegs, see if the strings are larger than the slots at the nut, 'cause that could also do u some problems with the tuning.

there is a nut on the top of the tuner, should i try to tighten it?

I found that also helps tone as well as tuning stability, my strat had a similar problem with the high e and i tightened it down, so now, it actually sounds good and holds tune better.
I totally forgot about that little problem that I had...

buy spertzal locking tuners if its really that bad- those tuners are the best. But if you know how to string your guitar correctly your guitar should hardly ever go out of tune. If you don't already, feed your strings through the pegs using the under-over method.

I recommend you to take your guitar to a professional, tell him to fix it. After he fixes it ask him what was the problem. If it's because your not stringing correctly, then ask him if he can teach you, or else youtube could be a good source. If it's from the pegs well, then he'll get it fixed and you can do whatever you want. PLUS, I'd really recommend a guitar setup, just take it to guitar professional and he'll adjust the truss-rod, the action, etc. and trust me your not gonna need the tremolo system, it's a bad idea using it for beginners, so my advice is to flat the bridge to the body so u wont have a tremolo system and that way you'll stay in tune.

thanks for the advice. yea i've been moving the tremolo arm back and not using it. but i figured out that a screw was loose on the peg so i tightened it and now it works great. thanks for the advice everyone
