Hey all, I just came up with this. I basically played around on GarageBand while it was recording. I'm sorry that it is so long, it is pushing a half hour of just guitar stuff, but I don't know what you would classify it as. Jazz? Flamenco? Blues even? lol anyways, if you do listen I'll personally buy you a candy bar!
Feedback is always greatly appreciated

lol, yeah I wanted to give fair warning about the length! thanks for listening, but it isn't really all that repetitive throughout either.
Thanks for the listen :)

Well, one of my Favorite Bands,Dream Theater,My Favourite song By Them Is 42 Minutes long,And There is a Shpongle Album which is totally continous,so yeah im kinda into that kind of long songs lol
This really was noddling, ive got just 3 Suggestions!
1.- Work On Your Technique, even if you're just messing around with some slow tempo improv, make it sound clean!!
2.- Try focusing on something, actually make a song! even if its a simple melody with simple chords, take a central point and then expand it,use your imagination!!
3.- Analyse some songs that you like, see how they're structured, and try copying it,just for the sake of experimentation!!
Bonus: Use Your ears!! they're your best friends!! i know no theory at all,i just use my ears, and i must say they really help! |

42 minutes...wow. lol
I did notice on the playback on the 3rd time around(yes I have listened to it 5 times now) that in some parts my playing was sketchy at best, I was disappointed about them but, oh well, it happens. Thanks for input and ideas |

haha yeah man,my suggestion is,learn as much music as you can,and if you are attemping to be a lead player, play lots of lots of solos!! improvise over jam tracks and songs, thats the way to go! |

amen, AlexB!
i 'noodle a LOT muhself' and always will ( its what i do between students , for one ex.) and while i wont go into the aesthetics ( as they are your own) I will give my 2-cents re the playing.
----(keep in mind i aint 'mean" - just honest")-----
that was quite sloppy sounding to these ears and i think i know why and can help. =)
playing that slowly is far far far harder than playing much much faster.
exclamation mark + period.
folks use gnomes (metronomes)a lot to practice with yet 90% of the time use them to "speed up"
DO THE OPPOSITE
set yer gnome at a mid speed , say 120bpm-1/4-notes, for example.
learn a lick OR IMPROVISE to this tempo ...
THEN
dial it down to 110, 100, 90, 80, etc...
you will find that this, while maddening (lol), will vastly improve your ' inner-clock' , far more so than increasing the speed will (time-tested-true) !
really-give it a try....
other than that KEEP EXPLORING !
and , as always...
RAWK!

hey cs, thanks for being honest, I greatly appreciate it :) I have noticed many parts where my playing wouldn't pass my test, but it'll help me get better.
Thanks for the tips
