Here's one of my solos. I've been thinking of using it for one of my band's songs.

Nice mix there. Cool ideas, you just need to work on the timing a little bit more. Kind of sounds like you occasionally pick faster than you put your finger down, in order to master that you need to first slow down and get your fingers to be in time with the picking hand. Things should sound more fun from there.

No effects just distortion(not sure if that counts)
Not too keen on distortion I try to keep it as organic as possible.

I know sometimes I get the picking just right. I think its because I was sitting down and I usually practice solos standing up

BTW the beginning sounds out of place because its like a pre-solo over a bridge leading to the real solo.

i guess it counts as a effect.
