did you have some one install the bigsby or did you do it yourself either way have some on train to look at it. it could be so many things now that you got things moving

did you try those titanium ernie ball strings in the end. I some what remember a thread about it a while back. If its a sharp bridge, no matter the string type, it will chew its way through eventualy.

if worst comes to worst you can always just buy that bridge with the rolly bits (very poor description) instead of saddles (right word?).

The whammy doesn't exactly help with that bridge as the extra movement of the strings, so in a way coated strings won't help a great deal. I think sanding the bridge down a tad so it has less of a harsh connection with the string is your best bet without replacing the bridge.

Are you using 10's or above. I used to have problems using 9's or lighter with my FR. I don't think I've broke a sting in 10 years since going up to 10's and 11's.

No, I haven't been using the same strings for 10 years. I'm just saying since I've gone up a gauge or two I havent broken any strings!

Also, don't try to file them down. Instead, replace the saddles with graphite saddles.
