I have been having a really hard time finding correct tabs and I'm really sick of it, most of the people say that its better to learn by ear. Ok maybe thats true but how can I start? I tried it, and it takes alot of time finding out how to play it right. |

If you're going to do it on your own, without any schooling. Find basic songs. Play the major scale over then, try and figure out from there, what note the major scale is played on, as time goes on, you should hopefully be able to pick up which mode is actually be used within the major scale.
With time from that, you should find songs with a different scale, melodic minor, diminished, stuff like that, and repeat.
Unfortunately there is no fast way to learn, music takes years. And training your ear takes longer, but it is the first most important thing you could learn. But do NOT learn it seperately from the theory, otherwise you WILL struggle to learn the theory.
To start... you should get a program which I already recommended to you guys: 100 Chords Method. This has ear training for chords. This can also help you to understand how chords relate to scales. THIS IS SOOOOOOO IMPORTANT. Don't brush this off.
If you want to learn by a more detailed program, I recommend buying "Play What You Hear" it's $100. But if you're unable to learn on your own, or need a boost. This will push you farther than any other method.
As a teacher, and a friend to you, learn this now, and you will be so grateful for the future challenges. |

There isn't a song called Tristam, do you mean "Into Town"? Which is Tristam town's theme?
I don't learn songs from tab, so I can't help you there unfortunately. What I'd encourage you to do is to learn it by ear. It'll take ages but it'll really improve your music skills. Play the song slowly.
Lance saved me some work. It's take a while for me to tab it out. But do you know if they're right? |

'Lance i got guitar pro v5.2 but thats not the problem
'Jazzy no its called "Tristram Town" I have the tracks. True, it'll take ages. Its not about about slowly, I can play it and its not too fast and ya I can know if it's right or wrong but it'll consume so much time if i wanna play it by ear, and I wont be able to cover some other songs cause it'll take time. |

I've got the tracks, too. On mine it's called "Into Town" different places, different names, I guess.
It's important to learn how to pick things up by ear. It's only difficult now because you haven't yet practiced training your ear, it'll get a lot easier as time goes on, trust me.
But you have to put up with the hard work before you can go through with ease, just the way life is.
Unfortunately I don't have enough time at the moment to tab it out, so in the mean time, try it by ear, and I'll have it done for you when I can, k? |
