a little poem i wrote because i was bored!
"I feel so happy,
I'm beside myself with Joy
I guess I'm Schizophrenic,
I'm feeling kind of Eisoptrophobic
maybe not so Euphoric.
Insomniac now,
Somniphobia settling in.
Selenophobia is coming soon.
Staring at me, The man on the moon
So old, so wizened.
Becoming Gerontophobic,
Then Gerascophobic,
Thanatophobia comes next.
Stygiophobia closes in.
Fear of not being good enough,
Stygiophobia enters my mind.
Then The End." |

Yeah, I can't do too many big wurds and surch. I like normal words like "cat", and "ball". |

I don't think Schizophrenic is the word you're looking for. They imagine things that aren't there, not just being happy. Some are completely paranoid and miserable.
The way I'm reading it though; I can hear Slipknot singing this. |

I think it would work well for a fast high gain metal song, maybe heavy rock but your going for a folk or country song you my want to re-write it. |

schizophrenics are people who have split personalities, or something similar. so when he says "Im beside myself with joy" he comes to the conclusion that he is schizo.
yea, i was just writing for the sake of it, no real tune in my head. |

ummm...... there is a difference between Schizophria and split personality disorder.
Wikipedia on Schizophrenia
"Despite its etymology, schizophrenia is not the same as dissociative identity disorder, previously known as multiple personality disorder or split personality; in popular culture the two are often confused."
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
I think what your looking for is Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Use Wikipedia, there is some BS in there but it's a good staring point when your writing something like this. It's important to have your facts stright otherwise you'll look ignorant.
But ...
"I guess I'm Schizophrenic" sounds better than "I guess I've got Dissociative Identity Disorder"

@ BBT - I like it. But theres way too much "phobias" to be normal. If sung or rhymed in the voice of a phsycopath it would sound pretty cool though I'd say. |
