Hey so I am writing another new song for the band, what are some other chords that go with Dm7 and A#maj7? I have been trying loads of chords and they just don't fit with these two. thanks in advance! |

D min7 and A#maj7 are both chords from the D aeolian mode so all the chords that fit with that mode (natural minor) are as follows
D min7
E m7-5 (1/2 dim)
F maj7
G min7
A min7
A# maj7
C dominant7
Hope this helps |

Just a small point, here it isn't A#Maj7 but BbMaj7. They are the same chord but in the key signature of Dm it is Bb and not A#. Everything else still goes though!

Yeah I know Bb is the same as A as B# is really C. I go to school for music and art :) But thank you guys very much! It really helped and saved me some frustration |

Okay so thanks for the suggestions, how does this sound to you: Dmin7-A#maj7-Fmaj7-G#m7(only strum like once, or maybe even half a strum)-Gm7 |

Ascending or deceding? Pretty funny how no one tells us that. (I've done it before, too)
It's an interesting chord phrase, keep it up. |
