you might be able to pawn it off onto the justice system as a form of punishment.
judge:
"Mr. Dahmer, for the murder and cannibalism of 18 young men, we hereby sentence you to either exocution by lethal gas... or you must listen to bodombeachterrors entire concept album"
Jeffrey dahmer:
"oh dear god no, the horror, the horror, kill me, please, i beg you, anything but that album, anything..." |

We could probably make O.J Listen to it for 24 hours straight. Though, into the first 3 minutes, he'd probably say, "Ok, I did it. Turn it off!". |

Why not just use a drum machine. It can be a pain to program, but so are drummers. |

Oh, i just can't help it.............Maybe when "Billy" gets to the dark side (because they have cookies) he finds out that they don't have milk, so he comes back into the light! Last song of the album?
Ok, I'll shut up!
Phip
I was just thinking about "Tommy" by the Who and there was quite a bit of "dark" humor in that album. |

Oddly enough, I've started writing a Concept album type thing too...
I have the story down. But I'm trying to get it more detailed and stuff.
The main problem I see with yours is... You don't really have a plot or anything. It's like, yeah, he meets the devil and stuff. But what does he do? |

TheAmericanBrit says: Crunch, I'm not attaching sexuality to it. If I wanted to, I would have said it was Homosexual.
But, by all means, lets forget that words like "Gay" and "F*****" don't mean what we THINK they mean (Happy, and A pile of twigs).
I'm a little sorry to bring this up again, but it is has irked me to quite the extent. Just because words don't, in a technical sense, convey a hateful idea, doesn't mean all of your derogatory connotations are removed. In fact, they're not affected in the least. This is all true unless, of course, you meant to say that this concept album idea would be quite happy. If this is, indeed, the case, I beg your pardon. |

"My" derogatory connotations? You say it as if I'm bashing homosexuals.
Just because the rest of society has decided that Gay NOW means this or that, it doesn't mean that I have. I will use the word how I choose (no, not in a derogatory fashion towards/about gays). |

That's the thing. Just because you say you aren't using the word to "bash homosexuals," and you may not, does not mean that it isn't negative or derogatory. It obviously is. I'm very interested to hear how you managed to derive a negative way to use the word gay without insinuating anything about homosexuality.
You should probably take the "just" out of your statement on society as well. The only thing that gives a word any value at all IS society. Your sole opinion on what a word means or doesn't mean is worthless. Let's assume I go up to a man in the middle of the street and say "Hey you , I'm going to shoot you!" Now, should I expect this man to do nothing? Or would I, rather, expect him to run? Attack me? Press some major charges? I, personally, would expect him to do one of the latter three. Just because I think means friend and "shoot you" means give you a hug, does not make it so. |

Gay did not originally refer to Homosexuals/Homosexuality. The word meant "Happy". Stop deciding what I do and do not mean when I say things. |

Depends on how I use it, I suppose. In which case, It doesn't matter because I wasn't attaching sexuality to it.
I mean, don't some of the Brit's call Cigarettes "Fags"?
But, I digress. Let's get back on topic, shall we? |

what is the topic? I'm so lost...oh yeah concept albums.
there were a lot of bands int the 70's that had concept albums the who, Floyd, yes, etc. most came from over seas. If you really interested in a concept album you should check out some of the even if your not into the music. See how the songs tell the story and see if it's something you can pull off. |
