hey i just wen to jazz tryouts, got the music, i only got 1 piece, its called hay burner, any 1 heard of it? what key is it in, also is a bflat 7 a b7flat 5?thnx.

Take a look on the chord section. looks like a F7 on the sixth fret.
right? is that what you wanted to know?

Did they give you sheet music? If they did, just tell me how much sharps or flats it has in the key signature (the sharp and flat signs at the start of the song, before any notes start).

And Bb7 is very different than B7 flat 5.

Bb7 is Bb, D, F, Ab.

B7b5 is B, D, F#/Gb, A.

They have different root notes, and a more or less completely different chords.

Hehe, for the most part jazz guitar just gets chords That IS sheet music! I'd stick with it, you'll find that the chords aren't nearly as hard as they look, and you'll be a much more versatile musician afterwards. I guess maybe it's not for everyone though. Good luck!

Yeah, I love that song.

Also basically everyone already answered your questions, but yeah, in sheet music for Jazz, it'll always have the chords written out, it's all about the chords.
