The 24th caprice by Niccolo Paganini? If so, what is the tempo?

One doesn't need bass or drums. Open your ears! If it required that to have a tempo, this video wouldn't exist. How do you think they are even playing it without it now? The piano actually helps. If you listen to the intro you can hear (and see) him playing something like vivace, maybe around 140bpm. The slower parts are cut in half, but still hold similar structure.
In fact, you could have counted! the easiest and quickest way (if you're decent at math) is to count how many beats within 15 seconds, then multiply that by 4 (15seconds times 4 equals 60seconds, one minute) you get the number of Beats-Per-Minute, bpm.

If you don't mind numbers or understand this one, just count the beats within 5seconds, then multiply by twelve.

Each count will vary your results, and if averaged, can produce a more accurate number, at least I'd assume.

Totally agree, just listen to the music and then you'll have the rythm. And therefrom you just match the metronome?
