I got a Godin Exit 22 for 581.41 or something. Great guitars. - But that's out of your price range.. I paid CDN dollars for mine though
Umm, Epiphone Les Paul Special II is very good, 175 dollars mine was, very cheap, probably a lower end but I really liked it. Just go to your music store |

Yeah I would have to say an epiphone les paul of somw sort. They are all really good and there will be a ton of different models available to you in your price range!

Fender Standard Stratocaster (Mex). I believe they run between $300-400. Easy to adjust, I personally have owned one for five years, never regretted it.
But as everyone said, depends on your style - just go with your gut when you see a guitar. |

in that case I'd go with epiphones lp or SG series, something out of ESPs LTD series(you could probably get a Viper 301 for that money)or something out of Gretch's Electromatic series(i'd check Junior Jet II for starters)

That's right,
Thank God at least one company that is sold in every music store, has the decency to make affordable, yet very good guitars for reasonable prices.

Yeah, you do have to go with your gut.
There is much much much more to guitar then just power chords. At first I never played anything but them. They get boring, trust me. You should at least try to play some kind of scale or something. Give it a try at least. Don't knock it til you try it, cause you never know... |

I would prefer a Hagström instead of epiphone |

most epiphones dont have a tone that gibsons do..i got a les paul custom used for about $350 american, best purchase i made, sounds gr8 looks gr8 still not a gibson but itll do. if ur into heavy metal and shredding than ibanez is what u want, but if u like a nice firm sound that in my opinoin looks gr8 (which has no efect on how well it will play) id get a epiphone les paul
(firm....looks gr8.....hmmmm) lol |

You could try a Squier even though they suck.
Maybe you could look for a used guitar for sale. |
