I've been trying to learn the solo in victim by avenged sevenfold by ear, ive done some of it ok but i can't figure out the fast notes. Can anyone help me plaese?

@nullnaught and DanielM - no offense but i wouldnt suggest using technology or programs to figure something out by ear.....people become too dependent on computers, etc. because of that

i suggest listening/watching it live(with little/no mistakes) over and over and getting as close to it as possible. youll get it

the victim solos arent too hard though.

@venom as I see it slowing down the song to get it by ear is like playing a song slower to be able to play it, once you are able to work out songs at slower speeds you can keep pushing the speed up till you are learning every song at full speed at which point dependency on software ends

my dad always says how he used to slow down a record
to learn a song.

I had cassette player that I would use dying batteries in that would play the songs slow. Yeah. I'm old.

Thanks for the advice but I've decided to try a couple of slower songs first, and then gradually learn faster songs. Any suggestions on songs?
