Hello friends! Well,i was preparing a new dance hit for this summer, and got this one!
http://www.internetdj.com/song/82276
The thing is,i want to remix it,but i want to use other synth sounds, specially on the main riff, now here is the problem:
I CANT FIGURE OUT MY OWN SONG
the main riff in the very beggining,i want to know what are the exact notes/chords,so if any of you can help me with your infinite knowledge i would really appreciate it :) if you remember,i know almost no theory
Thanks |

You can use this too find the root of the chords, maybe make it a little easier for us,or you(us) to give us an idea of key, etc. It would take a good, developed ear too to transcribe this by ear.Do you have any clues for us,range, key,Maybe some idea of anythimg you remember about playing it.? |

I guess this can be a guideline.
the notes are like you said:-----G--Eb-D--Eb
and harmonizes with the notes: Eb-C--Bb-C
these are all notes in EbMaj/Cmin(same thing except if you play it from Eb its EbMaj and if you play it from C you get Cmin-theory)
but this song has more of a minor "feel" to it so go for that :)
as for the chords:
Eb and G = EbMaj(without the 5th)
C and Eb = Cmin(no 5th)
Bb and D = BbMaj(same)
then back to cmin
hope this helped

@gs ypu dont neccesarily need a good ear to figure out a slow melody....you can just guess and check :)
i have an excellent ear(c-o-c-k-y ness) from the training that i do. heres the method.
strum every note on every string(or the high e like i did) from E to E until the sound of the note gets "engraved" into your head. and as you do that, hum the note and say the name of the note at the same time. |

Hmm well Its still fun XD.Plus your ear can never be too developed. Not matter how much you think its developed, theres always a certain frequency that might not stick in your head so well,so its best not too get lawled in to a false sense of thinking its good enough, because us musicians, the second we become satisfied,we might as well just chuck our instruments in the river.
