Just wanted to know what people find easier picking the whole sequence or picking just certain notes and hammering on pulling off the others??? |

I depends on the run for me...
IF it's something that involves 3 notes per string and moves across all six I usually pick the first note of each line that I start and hammer on to the others.
But I do have a couple of licks that I like to do that only involve the high E and B strings and for those I pick everything. |

Yeah, like Case it depends on the run. A lot of times when I change or skip string I'll hammer the first note of the new string. Hammer on from nowhere I believe it's called. |

its good to practice both. if i want a staccato sound I will strict alternate pick all the way through the run. If I want legato I will use hammer ons. |

No problem man ;)
But you might want to practice picking all the way through a run and then practicing the legato approach for the same run. It will definitely develop both so you don't get stuck doing just legato all the time or just picking everything. It will add variety to your palette :D |
