Think about it, do you have Bass or drums, do you record vocals?
If not, I suggest you to check Jamman, like this
http://www.digitech.com/products/Pedals/JamMan.php
instead.
PS. ofcourse if you can mount your computer to host, there plenty of allright sequencers free in the net. |

Those things are from the 80's man,my suggestion would be
-get a decent computer
-get an interface (guitar to computer,anything goes,guitar FX processor,proper digital soundcard.etc)
-Get recording Software (Cubase,Sonar,Pro Tools,Mixcraft)
and Record! you can get samples,loops,software,synths,basses,etc,everything you need to make a good production on the internet,and is way better and you have more control than on a 4 track |

I’ve had a Tascam 414 cassette 4 track for years and I love it. For me, stepping away from the computer and into a closet or garage where I’m not distracted my anything does wonders for creativity. Plus I can bang out a quick demo. I’ll refine it on the computer but the rough drafts are done on my 4 track.
I’ve considered getting one of the digital 4-tracks, but I’ll have to wait until the cassette 4-track dies. This is my 2nd one I’ve had the first one for about 10 years before it started flaking out. I got the 2nd one of ebay off about $50 (I originally paid almost 10 times that)

Thanks telecrater, thats the route Ive been looking towards..something simple easy to you, cheap is also great in my standards...Ive been looking at the Boss br600, but something simple and effective like your tascam is more my style.

@GibsonLP60
I had a BR600 for about a year 'till I burned it out ( my stupid fault and no reflection on the Boss build quality!). Have a re-think before dismissing it. Once you've got the hang of it (and it's a very intuitive piece of kit) you'll find it will do everything that, as an amature, you could ask of it. |
