I was curious if certain types of tremelo systems perform better than others when it comes to whammying the notes. For example, if you were going to try to play some harmonic squeals, would it make a difference if one guitar had a floyd rose and the other had a different one like an Edge? |

I think it all comes to preference. I’ve owned a start with a tremolo and it was ok. I’ve never used a Floyd rose or an edge. I’ve got a bigsby on my current guitar and I really like it mostly because of the wide flat arm. It stays put and I can hit it east with my picking pinky. But they aren’t for everybody. |

Edge = Floyd Rose under Ibanez name.
The main thing to look is the strings. |

i have a bigsby. i like it besides that its not at all ergonomically designed. changing strings is a **. |

i use to find it hard, but then after a few rounds of changing strings i got the hang of it |

yeah you get use to it but its certainly no easy task. the worst is when the ball at the end comes off the rack |
