I just bought a used gold lace sensor on Ebay for 23$...it was a steal. I had been looking at LS for awhile...but was always unsure which ones to get.

I am left handed and have really been unable to play a guitar with them installed....

I play a MiM strat through a 60watt tube amp....I like to use my big muff for a fuzzed out sound, but also like to use delay and cleans for a spacey sound sometimes.

Anyone have experience with lace sensors?

I am looking at either hot gold, regular golds, or the blue, red silver combo.

I'd love to hear people experiences with them and what kind of tone they achieved with them.

Thanks.

A very cheap pickup, with surprisingly good ratings. I've never heard one myself though, as I couldn't find any vids of demos.

I have 3 Gold's in one of my strats and I love them to death. I put a modded Clapton Mid-boost in it and I can dial in just about anything I want. The key with the sensors are the height. I have my neck pup basically touching the strings and the others are dialed in pretty close as the magnetic field is entirely different.

As for sound, there is this beautiful bell-like sound that they achieve that I have yet to find in any other pup but you lose a bunch of the quack in the 2 and 4 positions but I basically only use the guitar for the neck pup. With the mid-boost modified to operate linear instead of logarithmically, as I bring up the tone the signal gets beefier and much much louder.
