I honestly dont have a pedal board but the one in the picture above would be an extreme custom job and cost plenty of money. Ive heard of doing something like this with a rack and having several pedals and just using a stomp box to change between the pedals in the rack, but again this is a professional type setup and would consist of you having to own multiples of all your pedals. If your just looking for a cheap fix for now get some plywood and maybee a 2x4 if you want to do a stepped setup and some nice carpeting and just velcro your pedals down, and maybee incorporate a surge protector of some kind. I wouldn't know how to even begin wiring LEDs into this though. |

The one randy is using there is probably not homemade. Its preset. Digitech probly. Maybe Electro-harmonics, dought it. I'd just get a bunch of wood and nail it together the way you want. If you can use a makeshift for a while and get gigs then just save up for a real one. |

Lay all of your pedals out in the setup you normally use and measure the area they take up. Then decide if you want a flat pedal board or want to do a stepped one so the rear pedals are easier to access. Go to your local hardware store and have them cut a pece of wood to the size you measured and go from there. Id try to find some of the carpeting you see on subwoofer boxes or some amps, i cant think of the name but its pretty durable and looks better than plain wood. |

you can make your own too. a band mate had one he made out of ply wood. I used to use an old small sized yellow plaid suitcase i got from good will. I had cut it a bit so the top flap would come off all the way and then on the inside made a wooden angele.
when jamming it looked like a regrual wooden pedal board, but when i was traveling it looked like a homeless guys suit case.

I've alwasy had a difficult time dealing with power. if you using batteries, they keeping them plugged in drains the battery but if you use the power cable it end up with all these wall warts. |

I made mine slanted out of wood, but my buddy made his out of diamond plate. It looks bad assed but is heavy as hell. |
