i got this chord proggression for a song it goes Emaj- then a Emaj but move it down one string- Gmaj- Cmaj- ???- Dmaj- Amin
can anyone help me with the (???)? |

are you sure its E major? Cause Emaj doesnt have C or D major in it. But E minor has Am, Cmaj, Dmaj and Gmaj. |

maybe a secondary dominant? in this case an A7? |

The A7 should work the best. Otherwise, you could use an Emin there, and resolve the Amin to a G... i don't know how that would sound though. I'd need to hear it. |
