anyone else get pains at the bottom of your thumb when playing barre chords for about 10 minutes, well more of a ache and if so is there anything you can do about it? |

I actually get them in my neck and left wrist, but then again my spine and other uppor nerves are crippled, so that might just be me. No thumb pains though, but in my fingers after just about an hour. |

It's just because your muscles aren't used to that kind of work. Push it until it hurts, give it a break, and do it again. It'll get used to it eventually. |

Jazz is right. My hand hurt just like that for a long time but now it never does. something you can do to help is stretch before you start playing. |

stretch before you play, let go of shoulder and arm tension, and then just man up and do it until it stops hurting. |
