Nah, that'll be her way of saying "I don't like loud noise!".
Different JCM 800s have different sized power outputs. Most microwaves are 600-800W, so if you could power one of those, then you definatly could power a 100W amp!
The electricity that is supplied to your house differs by country, here it is 240V, most of Europe is 230V, and I think the USA and Canada are both 120V. To find the current required (in amps), divide the power (in watts) by the voltage (in volts). |

no ive acctually convinced her tht the other amps im looking at are louder hehe, what i mean is tht our wireing system is very old, the kind tht catches on fire and stuff, and anyway we put a room heater in and it blew the circut. so id have to know if its less or more then the room heater. |

Heating devices use a lot more power than sound-generating devices. |

May have overloaded that circuit. Your house will have several different outlets on one circuit (one breaker). You could just use a circuit with less usage, or turn off other devices on that circuit before you turn your amp on.
A good way to find out which outlet is on which circuit is to flip the breaker. Everything that doesn't work is on that circuit.
Having said that it's hard to believe that 50w amp would over load the same circuit you play your 15w amp on, but my wife has kick a breaker by turning on a hair drier so who knows ;P |

you wont have to worry about tripping breakers.
just cause it's 100W, that doesn't mean you'll be using all 100 watts of it.
and trust me when i say you'll never use all that power.
i don't know if you've ever played an all tube 100W marshall stack
before, but you certainly won't be able to handle the sound pressure
in a bedroom for very long let alone at half the volume.
those room heaters are rated around 1500W and are notorious for popping breakers.

not use all 100 watts??? why ever not?
my only deal is, i never let my distorted sound get more then 10, 15 percent louder then my clean sound. but, i play through 200 watts of tube power through a whole stack. so i can get it plenty loud enough. |
