Well, this is all-guitar-chords.com, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding chords. The chord tool should be the first thing you see when you reach the site, but you can also reach it by clicking "guitar chords", up at the top.
I would say anything you can learn in advance will help you. |

just go to your classes. knowing how to finger chords you don't understand or know how to use is a exercise in pointlessness. |

Learning chords is one thing, but it's important to know how they work, and how they relate to it's scale. Go right ahead and learn as much as you want, but make sure to ask questions, that's what teachers are there for. It's best to go into classes as young as possible, to be honest. But it's your decision in the end. |

I was wondering as well
I have a knowledge of the basic chords and how to make major chords by barring the frets, but I wanted a more broadened knowlegde of different chords with different sounds (ex. happy sounding, melancholy sounds, country, ect.)
Any suggestions? |

Intro Music Theory courses cover everything you are looking for.
Otherwise, invest in a Music textbook and teach yourself.
College also helps :) |
