not necessarily the best but which guitarists do you really like the tone of ?

i think santana and eric johnson have great tones, especially the latter.

Noel Gallagher, Chris Rohman.

I like loads of tones, too many to list.

Dimebag Darrell, he had a nice, sharp tone.
I like Mustaine's, too.


I actually even like my own tone, it sounds pretty good now. (Much, much better than before.)

BB King, Albert Collins, Jerry Garcia, Les Claybool. everyone else is just there.

Yngwie has a great tone.

I think anyone who uses a TS-808 Classic sounds good.

Analog Man tones are tight.

And I like what I've heard of Albert King.

In fact, my dad lent me an SRV/Albert King album where they collaborate, and I must say, that is blues at its finest.

And also, like Guitarboy, I'm starting to like my own tone, especially if I use my humbucker with my cranked amp. I can start to get a little overdrive, perfect for blues/classic rock.

Stevie Ray Vaughn as well here, also like Santana and Lee Ritenour sounds.
